Woodturning Tobacco Pipe (How to make a Tobacco Pipe Detailed Explanation)

Making my own Tobacco Pipes is what first really started me down the path of woodturning. I wanted a way to achieve the precise drilling required to create a perfect "draw". And so I bought my first lathe! Well actually my Dad bought me the lathe for my Christmas and Birthday.....Thanks Dad! Since the Briar wood was so expensive, I decided to try some local hardwoods; but the wood just kept cracking on me! So I began to search youtube for ways to dry wood without cracking. This led me to Sam Angelo' channel ( https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCRZxyT3UUS8spkIZDAsaFnA ) where I found videos on drying wood. But he also had all these warped wooden bowls he showed he was drying. What the heck is this guy doing with these bowls? What's this all about? So I watched how he turned solid pieces of wet wood into bowls and other forms and I decided to give it a try. This was just over 4 years ago. And so here we are!
