Return visit with a replacement DPF sensor for this Volvo V50 1.6 diesel (2010 101,491 miles)

🔎 A new DPF Differential Pressure Sensor was enough to get this Volvo regenerating again 👍

⚠️ Vehicle not running right? Dashboard lights on? DPF issues or just generally not as quiet, smooth, economical or responsive any more?

🚗 Here we have a Volvo V50 1.6 diesel (2010 - 101,491 miles) we originally looked at 3 days ago. Originally booked in with DPF problems for a potential DPF Clean after having multiple issues rectified and the two garages who had looked at it previously had not nailed the problem.

📊 Initial diagnostics identified some erratic signals coming from the DPF differential pressure sensor and a DPF pressure sensor code. We disconnected the sensor and did a manual check on the pressure sensor lines and the values did not correspond to the values on the diagnostics and confirmed that although it needed to regenerate it did not need a DPF Clean yet.

⚠️ New pressure sensor required.

ℹ️ We now carry the Ford pressure sensors used in this vehicle and fitted a new sensor today on our return visit.

⚙️ After taking it for a drive the vehicle started regenerating by itself now it had sensible values to work with. Once the regeneration had completed we returned back and completed an Engine Carbon Clean to clean up the source of the dirt to help with the DPF going forward.
