We are so excited to partner with Lumber Liquidators to bring you a little DIY flooring series. This video is going to cover the 5 things you need to know if you are going to DIY glue down floors. Keep in mind that these tips are for glue down floors on a concrete slab. We absolutely LOVE our floors. The distressed look that the Belmont Hickory style offers is perfect for our family. This project completely changed the look of our house. If you are looking for an "easy-ish" home transformation, start with your floors!

Some other notes:
--In relation to the moisture test, the plastic sheeting test is a good leading indicator of moisture issues, but a Calcium Chloride test is recommended for added assurance. That’s recommended for a glue-down install.

--Floor prep and the importance of flatness in your floor is super important to help avoid gaps/spacing. We were lucky and our floor didn't need prepping / releveling.

--Wood flooring requires a “linear trowel pull”, perpendicular to the long edge of the flooring planks.
