Your First Fortress: A Dwarf Fortress Crash Course

Hello and welcome to Dwarf Fortress! Often touted as being the "Hardest game ever" or some such nonsense, Dwarf Fortress can seem like a daunting mountain to climb! But today my friend, I will try my best to guide you through some of the lowest foothills and set you on the path to playing this great simulation like a pro!

NOTE: Want to install DF without fiddling with .ini files? There's a handy download here- http://dffd.bay12games.com/file.php?id=14297
(It was put together by Thekooleagle. What a pro, huh?)

Note:You may have more luck trying the smaller one first. You might have to resize the image to have it fit your screen well! Also, make sure the image file and the entry in the .init file have the same name!
