DIY Wood Stove Install Tutorial! (Scamp Travel Trailer) Step by Step!

In this video, you’ll find a step by step guide to installing a wood burning stove in any travel trailer, conversion bus, camper van, tiny home, or other mobile living space.

Building a wood stove fireplace inside of your travel trailer or other alternative living space isn’t quite as hard as you might imagine. If you plan on living or traveling in colder climates, installing a wood burning stove can take you from freezing to warm and cozy in a matter of minutes.

To get started, there are a few tools and materials you’ll need.

For this specific install, we’ll be building a 1/2” cement board box to encase and isolate our wood stove from any potential fire hazards.(Cement board can be found at your local Lowes or Home Depot in the drywall section!) We’ll use a silicone roof flashing which will allow stove pipe to be weatherproof as it passes through the ceiling, some high temp silicone sealants, and a cement specific blade to cut the cement board.
