Wall Rot in Double Stud Cellulose Insulated House

In this video I open up part of my north wall to check for rotting wood. I've been told for years my house will rot out. However, it has not. This is relevant information for anyone learning about Building Science, or thinking of building a Passive House. Double Stud walls are the most cost effective way to make a super insulated house. My house is extremely energy efficient with very little thermal bridging.

My house is built with a double stud wall assembly. Only the exterior wall is load bearing. The interior stud wall only supports the drywall and forms the insulation cavity. I used dense-packed cellulose insulation to fill the void.

My house is extremely air-tight. The tight construction is important to keep moist air from entering the wall cavity. Blower Door test: https://youtu.be/yVK0R4C8FpE
